Friday quick hits.

For my first, or really, second, blog entry, I present to you a weeks end blog entry called Friday quick hits. Short, and to the point topics from my point of view from the week.

Didn't expect that.

My wife, who is a huge American Idol, and Simon fan, suggested that I watch this clip from the British show, Britains got talent. She didn't say anything except that, "You've got to see this." I am not sure if anybody has, maybe you have, but if you have not, well, just click the link below. Ladies and gentleman, here is Susan Boyle.

Now, I was expecting a complete, and total disaster, but that was one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard, and I am not into those types of songs, but that was a billion times better than anything Idol has ever put out. Wow.

You should keep your mouth shut.

Acually, this is from last week but this goes out to Janeane Garofalo, who, on Kieth Olbermann's show, stated this about last weeks Tea Parties.

“Let’s be very honest about what this is about,” she said. “It’s not about bashing Democrats, it’s not about taxes, they have no idea what the Boston tea party was about, they don’t know their history at all. This is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up. That is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks.”

Janeane, Janeane, Janeane, I am not sure as to what to say except that you are about as clueless as, well, I won't go there. Your career is in the tanks, so if you have to say mindless, dumb ass comments as this to stay in the spotlight, then the best to you, but all it does is to make you look like a bigger dunce than you already are.

Thanks.

I want to send a thank you out to our President Obama, who, after us teabagging rednecks were done with our tea parties, had a meeting to cut government spending by 100 billion. I am sure that will help out with that trillion dollar spending spree you passed.

Feel safe?

Our fine head of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, stated that crossing the border from Mexico to the U.S. is not illegal per say. Not illegal? How about citizens who are veterans, or believe in the Constitution that should be put on a watch list as threats. So much more, and I am not going to get into the Canada gaff since it is late, and I am tired. All I can say is, this is the person that is in charge of our safety?

And finally.....

Why is it that people need to pull up to within a centimeter of you bumber when you are at a stop light? Why, when you pull up to get them off your bumber, they need to pull up to to maintain that centimeter distance.

My Introduction

Hello everybody in blog land. Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Steve, and I live in the suburbs of Chicago with my lovely wife, and two wonderful kids, and a dog named Hannah, who my daughter named after, well, you know who.

I have a wide variety of interest, starting with amusement parks, and rollercoasters, to the paranormal, to playing Rock Band, and decorating for Halloween, and Christmas. My political views lean to the right, but on very rare occasions will I write my views in my blogs, unless something really ticks me off.

I wanted to start a blog for the longest time, but never got up to doing it, until now. I was always thinking: what I would write about? Then it hit me. I have quite a few interests, so that should give me plenty to write about. So with that, when you visit my blog, who knows what you could reading about. It could be something that deals with an amusement park, or the unexplained. I will do my best to keep my readers entertained. You will never know what you will come across when you visit the Acrostar experiment. Sit back and enjoy, and I hope to make a friends along the way, not to mention a few repeat visitors.

Why the name Acrostar experiment? Well, my daughter is on a gymnastics team called the Acrobats, and since I like to think of her as a star, hence the name Acrostar. For the experiment part of the name, that is just what this is. An experiment.
